Dear Ms. Dunning,
Today we made cell phone covers in Photoshop. I created an alpha layer in channels and pasted a black and white picture to that layer and then I pushed the blacks in that picture. Next I found different backgrounds online, and then copied them to Photoshop and added effects to them. I then merged the layers and added a layer mask to the picture. We also organized the folders on FileZilla.

Dear Ms. Dunning,
Today I finished up my yearbook cover. I downloaded a font style form online and finished all the text I needed to do. I also used the golden duck that you posted online for the yearbook cover. I used a free background that I found online for my yearbook background. I couldn't stretch it for the whole background because it looked weird so I used eight different copies of the background and then blurred the edges.

Dear Ms. Dunning,
Yesterday I learned to do a cover for the office of student life. I also learned about different elements of design and how to download a custom font. For the color pop assignment I used a filter for one photos. I used a custom shape tool, pen tool, and layer masks to create the image. I also learned the importance of color in order to make something appealing.

Dear Ms. Dunning,
Yesterday I leaned about low-key and hi-key. Hi-key is a white on white image while low-key is a black on black image. While I took pictures yesterday I learned the importance of lighting in photography. The lighting can totally change the atmosphere in a photo. I used Photoshop to edit the images and make them more hi-key or low-key. I used Photoshop tools like dodge and burn tools, and masks to edit the photos and make them more hi-key and low-key.

Dear Ms. Debbie,
Yesterday I learned how to retouch a photograph using Photoshop. I learned to use to tools like healing brushes, patch tool, clone tool, filters to retouch photos. I also learned that the end product should look like the person. I should be light with the tools I use so that people might be able to recognize the person from the picture. I also learned that I shouldn't totally erase wrinkles or freckles.
